About the Institute
The Gallup Positive Psychology Institute is changing its name to The Gallup Institute for Global Well-Being. In making this name change, we want to underscore our firm belief in Positive Psychology, but also our expanding interest in the research and applications that contribute to Global Well-Being. Thus, the mission of the Gallup Institute for Global Well-Being (GIGWB) is to promote expert research, index measurement, training and applications vital, for one and for all, to pursue and sustain "a life worth living."

The 2006 Gallup International Positive Psychology Summit was a wonderful success thanks to the participation of the 428 attendees representing 28 countries, 70 businesses and organizations, and 140 educational institutions. Please join us for the 2007 Summit on October 4-6, 2007, at the Gallup Organization Building, 901 F Street, NW, Washington, D.C., 20004. We anticipate a dynamic exchange between scholars, leaders and decision-makers focusing on global well-being, human strengths, and positive social science.
